Axle needed to be friendly, masculine, industrial, smart and likeable and the team voted on the best mascot design. They called their intranet The Yard and designed a logo that utilizes service parts and tools along with yard equipment imagery. For them, it was important to create a clean and simple equipment themed design with specific content and portlets that enables their team members to dive into the site quickly.
